Bingo Operations Moved Out of UK

Ladbrokes bingo has revealed that it is making plans to move all of its headquarters and gaming operations out of the United Kingdom. The decision by Ladbrokes bingo comes after fellow gambling organisation William Hill plc took the same step, moving its operations away from the United Kingdom a number of months ago. Since this move by William Hill plc numerous rumours have circulated that Ladbrokes was about to do the same, and it has now been announced that this indeed will be the case. So far no exact date for the move has been set, but a source has said that the removal is likely to take place in September, and will take a minimum of three months.

There are a number of reasons for the move by Ladbrokes bingo. The main one of these appears to be because of the tax deduction that it will take if it moves onto the European continent, rather than staying in Britain. A move will mean that Ladbrokes bingo will only have to pay one percent tax, instead of the fifteen percent that it is currently being forced to shell out. The source also revealed that the move would definitely be for tax purposes. It is also being put into force to save the bingo games industry from the current suffering that it is being put through, and this too is a result of the rise in taxation upon the industry. The bingo tax was recently raised from fifteen to seventeen and a half percent, putting the industry under a large amount of strain. This too is being sited as a reason for Ladbrokes bingo’s move into Europe.

There is also less competition to be found in Europe, and in moving there Ladbrokes bingo will be able to expand to fit the wider global market. Online bingo is expected to become extremely popular in Europe over the next twelve to eighteen months, and this too is likely to be a reason for Ladbrokes making the decision to move there.
